The Omni Theater will reopen to the public on August 9 in a BIG way – with a new digital sound system, enhanced lighting, updated guest facilities, and three all-new IMAX adventures. But you don’t have to wait until then. Be among the first to experience it during Members-Only Day, Friday, August 8.
An Adventure with Teeth!
See dinosaurs come to life like never before in Dinosaurs Alive! Spectacular computer-generated animation combines with historical footage while following renowned paleontologists from the American Museum of Natural History as the uncover new fossils – including what may be the oldest dinosaur ever found in North America! The film will show at 12:30, 2:30, 4:30 and 6:30 p.m.
Special Guest Peter Skovsbo
After each showing of Dinosaurs Alive!, you’ll hear from Peter Skovsbo, executive producer with Digital Artists Montreal Network, the company behind the dinosaur animation featured in Dinosaurs Alive! Learn about the challenges of bringing these prehistoric creatures to life using modern computer technology.
Dino-Mation Exploration!
Play with stop-motion animation, build a dino-glowie and have computer fun with the staff and students of the CommunITy Studios technology learning lab. Check out these hands-on activities in the new Omni Link throughout the day.
