The Omni Theater is the Southwest's first giant-screen theater. Since its opening in 1983, theater guests of all ages have journeyed to places like Hawaii, the Great Barrier Reef, the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Africa and Everest. They swam with whales and through giant kelp fields; walked on volcanoes, in outer space and through tropical rainforests; flown in airplanes, space shuttles, and helicopters. The Omni has taken over 10 million guests on intriguing excursions without leaving North Texas.

Over 70 films have appeared in the Omni since its opening. A single 40-minute feature requires approximately 13,000 feet of film contained on a reel weighing 200 pounds. That’s a lot of film over the years! For a list of features that have played during the years, click here.
