Engineers Week: Inspiring Wonder

February 20-24, 2018

Be inspired this year during Engineers Week. Engineering opportunities abound as you engage in hands-on and mind-challenging activities throughout the Museum. Imagine, design, test and improve your ideas while you collaborate with area engineers and experience the wonder of engineering. 

     

 

 

 


ENGINEERS WEEK ACTIVITIES ARE OFFERED:

-February 20 - 21 | 10 AM to 2 PM
-February 22 | 10 AM to 4 PM
-February 23 | 10 AM to 2 PM
-February 24 | 11 AM to 5 PM


SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS

(2nd grade and above)
School groups of 15 or more can book field trips in advance by calling 817-255-9440


GIRLS ENGINEERING DAY

Saturday, February 24
12:00 - 4:00 PM

Looking for ways to inspire girls to the wonders of engineering? Join us for special activites just for girls led by local women engineers.

Included with exhibit admission.


SPECIAL HOMESCHOOL HOURS
(2nd grade and above)

An activity packed afternoon for homeschool educators and children will be offered on Thursday, February 22 from 1:30 to 4:00 PM. 

 


 

Additional volunteer and education support provided by IBM, Lockheed Martin, Mouser Electronics, Burns and McDonnell, Cannon Elementary, Cowtown BEST Robotics, GE Transportation, Northrop Grumman Corporation, Society of Women Engineers, Texas Society of Professional Engineers, Trinity Valley School, UTA College of Engineering, Young Men’s Leadership Academy and Young Women’s Leadership Academy.


Fun Fact
The OMNI Theater's projector, housed beneath the seats, is 6 feet tall and weights 1 ton.
